The centre of Coniston is just down the road (within a quarter of a mile), where you will find the village s famous Ruskin Museum and a choice of welcoming pubs and independent shops. You can take a steam cruise across Coniston Water, one of the Lake District s most beautiful spots. This is a great location for a variety of water sports including kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and motor boating. Beatrix Potter lived in the nearby village of Hawkshead (4 miles), and you can visit her home at Hill Top (6.5 miles). Local attractions for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, include the Old Man of Coniston (1 mile) and Grizedale Forest (7 miles), with the magnificent Windermere to the east (7.5 miles). On entering this attractive property there are two lounges to choose from, ensuring there s plenty of space for everybody to relax. The first lounge features plenty of seating, a cosy wood burner and a TV, while the second lounge has a gas fire and space to unwind, chat or catch up with a good book. This floor also has a separate shower room, a separate WC and a family bathroom complete with bath and WC.
