This 18th Century listed country house has been meticulously restored, offering a unique Highland home where guests can unwind and escape the stresses of daily life. Surrounded by traditional farm buildings and rich Highland wildlife, the residence provides a tranquil setting that highlights the natural beauty of the region.
The accommodation features eight bedrooms, designed to connect guests with the stunning landscape. Four king-size double bedrooms, two of which are ensuite, and a spacious family bathroom cater to larger groups, while the top floor hosts two twin rooms with a shared bathroom. An additional annexe includes two more twin bedrooms and two bathrooms, ensuring ample space for up to fourteen guests. Each room offers captivating views of ancient woodlands, misty Skye munros, and the private foreshore, enhancing the overall experience of the Highland setting.
Inside, the house boasts a large main living area with comfortable sofas and a grand dining table, perfect for gatherings. A TV/cinema room and a separate office provide additional comfort and functionality. The farmhouse kitchen is equipped with essential appliances, including an electric AGA, while the annexe features an industrial kitchen with a gas hob, oven, and extra refrigeration. The formal garden surrounding the house includes flower beds and a spacious lawn area ideal for outdoor games, further enriching the guest experience.
Located in a rural area on the waterfront, Tulach Ard House is close to various attractions, including Plockton Harbour and Torabhaig Distillery, making it an excellent base for exploring the natural beauty of Loch Carron and Glen Shiel. Families can enjoy nearby activities such as game walks, birdwatching, and visits to local markets. The owners reside on the farm and are available to assist guests during their stay, offering catering and welcome food packs upon request, ensuring a comfortable and memorable vacation experience.
