Located on the edge of Horsley and just two miles from the picturesque market town of Nailsworth, the property serves as an ideal base for exploring the stunning Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Notably, the farmhouse maintains a serene atmosphere with a no music policy in the grounds, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the peaceful surroundings while enjoying music indoors after 10:30 PM.
Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a meticulously designed outdoor dining area complete with a barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven, perfect for entertaining family and friends. The interior boasts large windows that flood the home with natural light, showcasing views of the beautiful gardens. The living spaces include a cozy sitting room with a large TV and log-burner, a sunroom with another log-burner, and a dining room that provides a warm setting for family meals. The well-equipped kitchen features a breakfast table, making it easy to enjoy hearty breakfasts together, and includes a fifth bathroom conveniently located off the kitchen.
The first floor of the farmhouse features three generously sized bedrooms, including two king-size rooms with en-suite facilities and a double bedroom with access to a family bathroom. The second floor offers a twin bedroom and another double bedroom, both sharing a second family bathroom. Each bedroom is thoughtfully furnished with storage options and dressing areas, ensuring a comfortable and stylish stay. Outside, guests can relax in the enclosed garden with lawn and patio areas while enjoying family barbecues or soaking in the fresh countryside air. The property also includes a vast paddock, an orchard, and greenhouses filled with seasonal produce available for guests to pick.
Additional amenities include a newly added wild swimming pool, a decked area with a wood-fired hot tub for six people, and a sauna, with off-road parking available for up to five cars. Just a short distance away lies Nailsworth, a charming former mill town known for its vibrant community events and festivals. Guests can explore a variety of high-quality shops, an organic café, restaurants, and art galleries. The surrounding area offers numerous walking opportunities, including the scenic 105-mile Cotswold Way and trails around Westonbirt Arboretum, which hosts various cultural events throughout the year. For larger groups, Tickmorend Barn is also available for an additional fee, accommodating two extra guests. A charge applies for the combined use of the sauna and hot tub, payable directly to the owner prior to arrival.
