This wonderful large period property is in the ideal location for exploring both Devon and Cornwall in what is known to be the gateway to Cornwall. The house is next to the train station and sits just before the Tamar bridge, so visiting Plymouth (6 miles) with the historic Barbican is easy, along with Dartmoor (8 miles) and some other South Devon attractions. Further down the coast you can discover the traditional picture postcard resort towns of Looe (16 miles) and Polperro (21 miles). Other attractions in the area include the Monkey Sanctuary (15 miles), the Adrenalin Quarry (10.5 miles), Go Karting (3 miles), Porfell Wildlife Park (21 miles), the Eden Project (30 miles) and many National Trust properties as well as golf courses including the Jack Nicklaus course at St Mellion (6 miles). Enter this wonderful property and into a conservatory porch with seating a real sun trap for you to enjoy a book or morning coffee. Move through the stunning original front door and into the grand hallway with its impressive staircase, high ceilings and original features and you immediately feel at home. Off to the right is the main lounge with plenty of seating and a Smart TV, the perfect spot to snuggle up and watch your favourite programmes. Directly opposite this room is another lounge complete with a bay window and there s also a downstairs shower with WC. A double bedroom can be found next door. This would ideally be suited to grandparents or an older sibling wanting some space to themselves perhaps. Through to the back of the house is a downstairs WC, a useful utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer and access out onto the garden. The beautiful kitchen/diner is right next door and has a glass roof, bi fold doors leading out onto the patio and a large dining table with plenty of space for the whole family to get together. There is also the added feature of comfy seating for two in the corner. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stunning feature island, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, American fridge/freezer and coffee machine. This is a great place to cook, eat and all get together in one space. The first a twin bedroom with storage and plenty of light; the second, a good size double room overlooking the front of the house; the third is the master bedroom with a king size bed and a bay window with plenty of natural light flooding in (a perfect spot for breakfast in bed or a lazy Sunday lie in); and the fourth bedroom is another good size double. Up another set of stairs leads you to the final bedroom, again a good size with a double bed in the eaves and Velux windows which boast fabulous waterside views over Plymouth. Next door is a shower room and WC. Outside is a generous enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. There is parking for 4 cars with off street parking available (subject to availability).
