For the more adventurous souls, who seek a retreat of the wild kind, there are plenty of country pursuits on offer including canoeing, horse riding, mountain biking and wild swimming. Not forgetting the rugged landscape of the Begwns, (National Trust open access land), Painscastle moorlands, The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons or the quiet Radnorshire hills a little further north. Hidden within the trees and surrounded by peace and quiet, a place where guests can escape the noise of the city and find the time to truly relax with friends and family. This beautiful country home sits back within landscaped grounds which you can enjoy as you access the main house. Step inside the hub of the house, the spacious ground floor offers the perfect setting for entertaining with friends, its interesting interior showcases paintings and sculptures by local artists accompanied with a contemporary twist. The contemporary kitchen boasts a double electric Smeg range cooker with gas hobs, a fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a separate walk in pantry for storage with an additional fridge and microwave. A large round table takes centre stage and is perfect for a celebration supper, the space continues with a more casual lounge where you can catch up with friends in front of the double fronted wood burner. For relaxing, there's a cosy snug with a wood burner that's perfect for winter evenings, with a wide selection of books, board games and a cinema screen. Also, on the ground floor a separate walk in pantry for storage with an additional fridge and microwave. A boot room with large drawers for shoe storage. Should guests need them there is a separate laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and additional dishwasher. The first floor offers four spacious bedrooms all finished with plump pillows, crisp white bed linen and views across the mature gardens. Here guests have the choice of one super king room, one king size room, one king size room with Jack and Jill en suite with shower and WC, and one twin room with queen sized beds and access to the Jack and Jill en suite. Across the courtyard is a peaceful retreat offering two single storey separate bedroom suites, here guests can break away and relax enjoying the grounds, a generously sized studio with a super king size room with en suite bathroom featuring a large stone bath, separate shower and WC, and a king size room with en suite shower and WC. Outside the grounds have been sympathetically landscaped, with a private wood fired hot tub with a seating area, a courtyard with a fire pit and outdoor kitchen perfect for summer dining, and a covered terrace to the front of the house with seating for an afternoon tea.
