In a quiet cul-de-sac, facing a private green immediately behind the sea wall with a gate offering direct access to Dymchurch's large & beautiful sandy beach. Springhaven, my family home since 1967 has been recently renovated to offer spacious accommodation & beds for 11 guests in five bedrooms. Three bedrooms (one ground floor) have en-suites & there's a further shared shower room. A well equipped kitchen, large dining table and a fabulous outside terrace. A perfect family beach retreat.
The tranquillity of a private green and direct access to the huge sandy beach of Dymchurch - close enough to walk to the village of Dymchurch but far enough away to ensure the beach here is never crowded.
It's a beautiful part of the south eastern English coast, in the county of Kent, known as the "garden of England".
A 10 minute walk (2 minute drive) brings you to the village of Dymchurch with a Tesco mini store, coffee shop, traditional fun fair and the station for the miniature steam railway - Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (www.rhdr.org.uk). Just a two minute walk away is the Ship Inn which is recently refurbished and also serves decent food (www.shipinndymchurch.co.uk). Getting to New Romney and Hythe for larger supermarkets (Sainsbury / Waitrose / Aldi) and Lympne Castle & Zoo (www.aspinallfoundation.org/port-lympne/) takes about 15 minutes. Roam further to Folkestone, Dover, Rye and Canterbury in around 30-45 minutes for further sightseeing, activities, shopping, pubs and restaurants. We're always happy to advise on local restaurants.

The house has three RING security cameras. One is in the door bell, viewing the porch, one covers the front garden from the veranda and one covers the driveway from above the garage.
Located in Romney Marsh, this vacation home is on the beach. Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway and The Dolls House are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Marsh Maize Maze and Romney Sands Station. Elham Valley Railway Museum and Battlezone are also worth visiting. Motor boating and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and horse riding nearby.
Self-catering cottage holidays in the UK and Ireland can still be a green option. You can have the comforts of home and the flexibility to do what you want; when you want - without the hassles of air travel!
