Bamburgh Rock Cottage is a stunning stone-built residence in Bamburgh, Northumberland, dating back to the 1800s. Recently refurbished to a high standard, this detached five-bedroom house comfortably accommodates up to ten guests and boasts exceptional views over the village green towards the iconic Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. The property is ideally situated just a short walk from both the beach and the village, which offers a variety of pubs and restaurants, making it a perfect location for a special occasion or family gathering.
On the upper level of the cottage, guests will find four double bedrooms, each featuring its own bathroom, hardwood shutters, and blackout blinds to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The master suite, located at the front of the property, includes a king-size bed and an en suite shower room. The other bedrooms consist of another king-size room with an en suite at the back, a twin room with en suite facilities, and a fifth bedroom with two single beds that has exclusive use of a nearby family bathroom equipped with a bath and separate shower.
The heart of the home is the spacious south-facing kitchen, dining, and sitting area, which is adorned with a large oak dining table that seats ten. The room is enhanced by a grand atrium and floor-to-ceiling Solarlux bifold doors that seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor spaces, flooding the area with natural light. This level also features two additional sitting rooms, both with log burners and picturesque views of the village and castle. A utility room and a convenient bathroom with a shower are also located on the ground floor, ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach.
The expansive south-facing garden is designed for relaxation and entertainment, featuring a large terrace tiled with wood-effect ceramic tiles that harmonize with the indoor decor, creating an inviting space for al fresco dining or simply enjoying the sunshine. The garden is predominantly laid to lawn, surrounded by stone walls that provide privacy and tranquility, making it a perfect sun trap. With two distinct seating areas to enjoy the morning and evening sun, the outdoor space is as thoughtfully designed as the interior. Additionally, the property can be booked alongside Ref: 1120645, accommodating a total of 15 guests for larger gatherings.
