Upon entering Penmarth House, visitors are greeted by a warm and inviting sitting room complete with a piano and comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. The spacious kitchen and dining area, recently refitted in March 2024, features a large dining table where guests can gather for meals and celebrate their holiday. An additional kitchen allows for the preparation of picnics or separate meals, catering to various dietary preferences. The cheerful snug room provides a private retreat for reading or working, while the ground floor includes a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two cloakrooms, and a utility area that doubles as a boot room for sandy gear.
Ascending to the first floor, guests will find four en-suite bedrooms, including two doubles with stunning sea views, a third double with a spacious bathroom, and a twin room featuring a charming fireplace. A window seat on the landing offers a perfect spot to admire the scenic vistas, while a luxurious roll-top bath in the shared bathroom invites relaxation. Additional amenities include an outdoor tap and rinsing tub for wetsuits, making it convenient for beachgoers. The peaceful village of Coverack is known for its sheltered beach, ideal for swimming, windsurfing, and kayaking, along with local shops, a pub, and restaurants that provide delightful evening outings.
Penmarth House serves as an excellent base for exploring the Lizard Peninsula and its surrounding attractions. Just a short drive away, Lizard Point offers stunning coastal views, unique geological features, and scenic walking trails along the South West Coast Path. The market town of Helston, known for the Flambards Theme Park and the Flora Day Festival, is nearby, as is Gweek, home to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
