Popular with surfers, paddleboarders and families who just want a shallow splash, you can hire boards and wetsuits and take lessons from the local, friendly surf schools, or just build sandcastles and eat ice cream. The well known and popular sandy beaches of Croyde and Saunton Sands are within 7 miles, and just under 5 miles away is the pretty Victorian fishing harbour of Ilfracombe, where you can take a boat trip out and see the seals and other marine wildlife. Exmoor National Park, which offers beautiful woodland walks, is 14 miles away. Other attractions in the area include Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, which are both within 11 miles. Cyclists can enjoy the 180 mile long biking path on the Tarka Trail. On entering this charming property, you can leave your coats and muddy boots in the large porch and enter the light and airy kitchen/diner. Here you will spend many hours chatting and trying out new recipes and making breakfasts as you plan your fun days ahead. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a stunning AGA (which also has an electric oven and gas hob), dishwasher, microwave and a wine cooler. In the utility, you will find the washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a separate WC on this floor. There are two separate lounges both with comfy sofas, wood burners and patio doors leading out onto the patio. Both have Smart TVs, where after a fun filled day you can sit down relax in front of the wood burner to watch your favourite movie.
