House In Weare Giffard, North Devon

Weare Giffard, Devon

10

This property enjoys a quiet rural location, off the beaten track, surrounded by the fields of a 300 acre farm. Just a few miles south of the farm, the town of Torrington has a range of shops, as well as an arts centre with a busy programme of cinema, theatre, and live music. The region is rich with sights and attractions to suit all tastes, including the harbour town of Bideford, the wide sandy beach at Westward Ho!, the outlet mall at Atlantic Village, or the beautiful gardens of RHS Rosemoor. This property offers complete privacy. On the ground floor, the cosy and homely lounge is tastefully furnished in warm colours, with a deep sofa giving guests a comfortable place to relax next to the wood burner, or perhaps enjoy the TV and DVD. A separate dining room has a second wood burner, this time set in a large inglenook fireplace, whilst the large dining table comfortably seats ten. The property s kitchen has a lovely farmhouse feel, as befits the property, with an impressive AGA style cooker adding to the cosy feel of the room. There is a smaller dining table here, perfect for breakfast or enjoying a pot of tea, and guests will find all the cooking equipment they will need, including an electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, and American style fridge/freezer. The washing machine and tumble dryer are kept in the utility room. There is also a large conservatory on the ground floor, with doors opening out onto the garden, and a games room with a multi games table, TV, and a selection of toys and games. A door from the kitchen brings guests to the staircase which takes them to the first floor accommodation, where there are five bedrooms. Two of these are double rooms, each with its own TV, and en suite shower with WC. A third double has a useful hand basin in the room, and there is also a twin room, and a king size room which can be made up as a twin on request, thanks to the zip and link beds. The main bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. Outside, a spacious patio with seating, and a BBQ, leads on to a pretty three tiered plant filled garden, with lawned areas and an ornamental pond (guests should ensure children are supervised at all times). A separate terraced area is where guests will find the sheltered hot tub, a fantastic place to relax at the end of a busy day spent exploring the local area. Guests are able to explore parts of the owner s farm by arrangement directly with the owner.
