The popular Victorian seaside town of Swanage, located 3.5 miles from the cottage, boasts a long sandy beach, a traditional promenade, a pier, and a steam railway, making it a delightful excursion. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the Sandbanks Ferry for a quicker route to the vibrant towns of Poole and Bournemouth, or venture to the captivating Brownsea Island, known for its scenic beauty and wildlife.
Upon entering the cottage, guests are welcomed by a charming and spacious lounge, featuring comfortable seating, a wood burner, and shuttered bay windows that fill the space with natural light. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is designed for family gatherings, equipped with modern appliances including a double oven, induction hob, and an American-style fridge/freezer. This area also includes a breakfast bar, a utility room for laundry needs, and a delightful children’s playroom filled with books and toys, ensuring entertainment for younger guests. A convenient ground-floor shower wet room adds to the functionality of the layout.
Upstairs, the cottage offers five inviting bedrooms, comprising four double rooms—two of which can be converted into twin rooms upon request—and a cozy bunk bedroom ideal for children. One of the double rooms features an en suite shower room and a dressing area. The large family bathroom includes both a bath and a separate shower, accommodating all guests comfortably, although some rooms have low ceilings. Outside, the property boasts a gravelled parking area, a boules court, and an attractive back garden complete with an artificial lawn and seating areas where guests can unwind and enjoy a gas BBQ. A back gate provides direct access to a National Trust footpath, enhancing the outdoor experience. Ample parking is available for convenience.
