The cottage is located in a tranquil hamlet, just three miles from the towns of Eglingham and Chatton, and a mere fifteen-minute drive from Alnwick, renowned for its stunning castle and beautiful gardens. Inside, the property features two inviting lounge areas on the ground floor. One lounge boasts an open fire, comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, and dual aspect windows, while the other is warmed by a cozy wood burning stove. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern amenities such as an electric range cooker, a large American-style fridge/freezer, a microwave, and a dishwasher, complemented by another wood burning stove for chilly days.
Accommodations are located on the upper floor, which includes five well-appointed bedrooms: one king size, one double, and one twin, as well as two additional adjoining bedrooms (one double and one twin). This floor also contains two bathrooms equipped with baths—one featuring a shower and the other with a handheld shower attachment—alongside basins and WCs. The property operates off-grid, utilizing a custom-built solar generator for electricity, and guests are provided with torches in case of occasional solar outages.
Outside, the cottage boasts expansive gardens and a yard area, providing ample space for children and pets to enjoy outdoor activities. There is parking available for up to four cars, and the garden includes dog kennels and runs for pet owners. Additionally, for those with equestrian interests, there is an option for stabling and grazing for up to four horses, which can be arranged directly with the owner for an extra charge. This combination of comfort, natural beauty, and local attractions makes the cottage a perfect getaway for families and groups seeking both adventure and relaxation in the heart of Northumberland.
