The house is located outside the village of Stretton on Fosse on the main A429 Fosseway road, (which can be busy at Peak times) and is set in beautiful countryside, halfway between Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour. Stow on the Wold, the Cotswolds major antiques centre is ten miles to the South, and Stratford upon Avon and its famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre is twelve miles to the North. Two public footpaths lead directly from the house; cross the road and join the footpath for a 15 minute walk across the fields to Stretton on Fosse and its well regarded village pub, or if a longer walk is on the cards, follow the trail up the hill behind the house with stunning views leading to Ditchford Frairy, or further on to the pretty village of Todenham. This tastefully decorated, rustic and rambling, shabby chic farmhouse is the ideal venue for groups of friends or family get togethers. The huge beamed traditional farmhouse kitchen is very central to the ambience of the house with seating for 10 people great for entertaining or simply relaxing while someone is in charge of the food. You can cook in the traditional Aga or you can use the electric fan oven and hob. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a dishwasher, two fridges and freezer. There are two sitting rooms at the front of the house, both with period fireplaces and wood burners, one of which has a day bed. Next to the sitting room is a downstairs bathroom with roll top bath and shower over, hand basin and WC. There is also an en suite double bedroom on the ground floor, with a shower over the bath and a WC. The first floor has two spacious bedrooms, one with a king size bed and an additional small child's single bed and one with a double bed. Both of these rooms have access to a large Jack and Jill family bathroom with shower over roll top bath, bidet, washbasin and WC. On the top floor is a twin bedroom and a family bathroom with a roll top bath, a hand held shower, washbasin, bidet and WC and a further bedroom with a King size bed and an additional single bed. Behind the house is a lovely enclosed courtyard with wisteria, a charcoal BBQ, large table and garden furniture, and a little walled garden laid to lawn. To the front of the house there is enough room to park up to six cars, with high gates to close off from the road.
