Set high on the hill overlooking Lochinver Harbour, this brilliantly situated house on the ever popular West Coast of Scotland is an ideal retreat for family holidays. Surrounded by heather, the property boasts mountain views of Canisp and Suilven. The property is secluded yet within walking distance of the village which is the home of a well known pottery and the infamous pie shop. The West Coast forms part of the popular NC500 route and keen hikers and cyclists will love the numerous trails and Munros to climb within the vicinity. Handa Island Nature Reserve and a visit to the nearby Summer Isles are a must do during your stay here. The house has been recently refurbished in 2019 and offers spacious, light rooms throughout. The property is popular with fishing and shooting groups, therefore the décor throughout is reminiscent of a traditional Scottish sporting lodge. A large kitchen with electric range oven and hob, fridge, freezer, wine cooler, microwave and two dishwashers centres around a breakfast table. The kitchen leads through to a more formal dining room that seats 10 people, with an open fire. The lounge, with TV/DVD, contains another open fire and is the perfect spot to spend the evenings. Additionally, there is a small snug which is a great space for children that want their own space to play. An additional pantry, utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and cloakroom can also be found on the ground floor with 2 additional WC's. The first floor is where all of the comfortable bedrooms are located, a master king size with en suite bathroom with shower over bath, one king size zip and link (which can be made up as 2 6 twins on request) and three twin bedrooms (one of which has a washbasin). The bathrooms are large in size and have recently been upgraded, one has a shower over bath and WC and one has a bath and WC. From the grand entrance hall, French doors lead out to a patio area with ample seating. The garden and the lawned area opens out to the wild fern and heather covered hills. The road up to the property is quite steep but the driveway itself is large, flat and has plenty of parking.
