This holiday retreat is nestled in a picturesque rural setting on the outskirts of the Scottish Borders, surrounded by the stunning rolling Moorfoot Hills. Located just 14 miles from the vibrant city of Edinburgh, the property offers convenient access to urban amenities via the Park and Ride or a train from nearby Stow. Guests can explore the charming towns of Galashiels and Melrose, both within 20 miles, which feature a variety of quirky shops, restaurants, and art galleries, as well as the historic 12th-century Melrose Abbey. The area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, providing an abundance of walking, cycling, and mountain biking opportunities along numerous country tracks and forest trails.
Upon entering the home, visitors are greeted by a welcoming entrance hall leading to an inviting open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The space is bathed in natural light, thanks to patio doors that open onto a decked area with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The lounge features comfortable seating and a Smart TV for cozy movie nights, while the spacious dining area allows families to enjoy meals together amidst scenic vistas. Ascending to the upper level, guests will find a snug seating area on the landing, perfect for quiet reading.
