Torver is a popular base for both high and low level walking, with plenty of excellent routes to discover. The pretty village offers fine pubs serving excellent meals. Coniston village, which offers an array of good pubs, cafes and shop, lies two miles north, set in the very heart of the Lake District at the northwest tip of Coniston Water and sheltered in the lea of the Coniston mountain range. Coniston Water is one the most people friendly lakes, with much of the shore and the whole lake open to the public. You can hire rowing boats, sailing dinghies, kayaks, canoes or small motorboats, perfect for a day out exploring the hidden bays and wooded coves. On entering this fantastic late Victorian Lakeland style house you will find yourself in the tastefully furnished lounge which features large bay windows, comfortable furnishings and a log burner, as well as Smart TV, DVD, video and CD, making this a perfect space to sit back and relax.
