Guests can embark on cruises and ferries from Lakeside Pier, located at the southern tip of Windermere, which offers routes to popular destinations such as Fell Foot, Bowness, and Waterhead. Just two miles south of Bowstead Gates, the vibrant market town of Ulverston awaits, featuring a variety of shops and pubs. Notably, Ulverston is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and home to the Laurel and Hardy Museum, adding a unique cultural touch to the area. The nearby Cartmel Races, with nine race days from May to August, provide an exciting outing for those looking to experience local events.
