About the property

Nestled in a peaceful valley on the edge of Exmoor's North Devon coast and one of six holiday homes on the site, Rosefinch Cottage provides a cosy retreat for families and friends. The cottage exudes character through details including exposed wooden ceiling beams, while the comfortable living space is finished perfectly with a wood-burning stove and a host of modern amenities. Should you wish to explore the area, the estate offers many family-friendly facilities, or you can explore a selection of stunning beaches, including Barricane Beach and Woolacombe.


The space

This characterful stone cottage is located in a courtyard with two other cottages and the shared indoor swimming pool.



The property begins with a warm and inviting sitting room where you can relax and chat about the next day's plans, watch a film on the Smart TV or play a board game or two in front of the wood-burning stove. When it is time to dine, there is a table and chairs set up to seat four.



Meanwhile, the well-appointed kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to self-cater including an electric oven, an induction hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher.



Venture up the winding staircase to the first floor where you will find two beautiful bedrooms, one of which features a four-poster king-size bed and one with twin beds. The shared bathroom is next door and comprises a bath and a shower.



Outside, you will have access to a delightful garden where you can enjoy a BBQ in the sunshine or relax with a glass of wine on a summer's evening.

You will have access to a host of on-site leisure facilities that are shared by guests of all cottages:



The grounds



There are 16 acres of stunning grounds to explore along dog walking fields. Amble through the meadows and stop off at the kitchen garden and greenhouse to choose a little something to go with your delicious alfresco lunch.

The grounds also provide a combined 5-aside football pitch, a badminton and grass tennis court, croquet, boules, cricket and a putt golf course.



Swimming pool and games room



Take a dip in the indoor heated swimming pool or head to the games room where you will find an abundance of toys and games, plus a soft play area for little ones aged 5 years old and under. For outdoor fun, there is an adventure playground with swings, slides and a climbing frame.



On-site activities



Discover The Lookout for some relaxation and practice yoga on the mats provided and enjoy the estate's stunning viewpoint. Or you can enjoy a fun aqua aerobics session in the heated swimming pool.



Farm animals



There are over 50 animals on-site to visit including chickens, alpacas, goats, sheep and piglets.

Guest access

The owners will greet you on arrival and show you into the property.


Sustainability

If you would like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.



Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.



Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
