Known for its quaint olde worlde atmosphere, Godshill features a variety of independent shops, delightful tea rooms, and inviting pub/restaurants, making it an excellent base for exploring the many attractions the Isle of Wight has to offer.

In addition to the local village, guests can easily access nearby attractions such as Appuldurcombe House, an English Heritage site renowned for its stunning gardens designed by Capability Brown, located just a mile in the opposite direction. The area also boasts beautiful beaches at Ventnor and Shanklin, the serene Ventnor Botanic Gardens, and the Ventnor Golf Course, which offers breathtaking views. For families and animal lovers, the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary provides a fun and educational experience.

The cottage itself occupies a wing of a grand Regency manor house, featuring an elegant entrance leading into a spacious hallway. From there, guests can enter the lounge/diner, which is adorned with a large bay window that frames picturesque views of the grounds. This inviting space is furnished with comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a movie night in front of the TV/DVD. The galley-style kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, Dualit toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, and a washer/dryer, allowing guests to prepare their own meals with ease.

Accommodating up to three guests, the cottage includes a charming bedroom filled with natural light, featuring a king-size bed adorned with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, along with additional space for a single bed. The bathroom is well-appointed with a shower over the bath and a WC. Outside, guests can enjoy a private patio area complete with garden furniture, where they may spot red squirrels playing in the gardens. For convenience, there is parking available close to the property, and a garage is provided for bike storage or additional vehicle parking.
