The School Rooms Estate is a charming accommodation located in the village of Box, Wiltshire, in the South of England. This property can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests, making it an ideal choice for families and groups seeking a relaxing getaway or a base for exploring the nearby attractions. Positioned just six miles from the historic city of Bath and close to the scenic Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the estate offers a blend of comfort and convenience for its visitors.
At the heart of The School Rooms is a spacious main apartment situated on the ground floor of an elegant Georgian residence. This apartment features a recently refurbished, fully-equipped kitchen adorned with marble flooring and modern appliances, including a large 5-burner range cooker. Adjacent to the kitchen is a generous open-plan lounge and dining area, measuring 4x10 meters, which is filled with traditional charm. The lounge is furnished with three comfortable sofas (which can also serve as sofa beds), a large dining table, a flat-screen Sony TV, a sound system, and even a pool table, providing ample entertainment options for guests.
The sleeping arrangements are designed to accommodate a variety of needs. The main apartment includes three bedrooms—one twin room with an en suite and two double rooms with en suites—along with three sofa beds in the living area, allowing it to sleep up to 12 guests. Additionally, there are two self-contained lodges, each with a kitchenette and en suite bathroom, that can host four guests (with a double bed and a sofa bed). This arrangement ensures that all guests can enjoy privacy and comfort during their stay.
Outside, guests can take advantage of the alfresco dining area, perfect for enjoying meals in the fresh air, and the estate features a heated swimming pool and a premium hot tub set within a Mediterranean-style terrace. These amenities are exclusively available to guests and are situated conveniently between the main apartment and the lodges. While the swimming pool is operational from March 31 to November 5, the hot tub is available year-round. Although there is no lawn on the property, a recreation ground just a minute's walk away offers open space, sports facilities, and parks for children, ensuring that guests have plenty of options for outdoor activities during their stay.
