This lovely retreat is situated in the seaside village of St Bees, the most westerly point of Northern England. There is a long, sandy beach with a promenade and coffee shop, plus this is the starting point of the Wainwright Coast to Coast walk to Robin Hood s Bay. St Bees Head, which can be seen from the garden, is an RSPB seabird reserve. The village is full of history and there is plenty to do locally with a golf course, swimming pool and St Bee's Priory all within walking distance. You are also just a few miles from the Lake District National Park, so this really is a fabulous base for exploring or somewhere just to switch off for a while and get away from it all. St Bee's also has it's own train station, so perfect if you fancied leaving the car behind and venturing further afield, with Carlisle to the North and Barrow to the South. As you come into this small cottage, there is a welcoming lobby with a washing machine. To the left, you will find the shower room with a lovely stone feature wall, large shower and WC. To the right of the entrance, there is an open plan lounge/kitchen with direct access to the garden. The lounge offers comfy seating to relax, read a good book, enjoy a glass of wine and make plans for your stay. The kitchen has a small breakfast bar area, perfect for enjoying coffee and breakfast, and is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, slimline dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. The spacious bedroom has a beamed ceiling, and a huge feature emperor bed there is also a Smart TV so why not log into your Netflix account and watch a good movie after a day out exploring? There is a lovely enclosed, private garden, a great place to enjoy a morning coffee, read a good book or watch the sun set over the sea on the horizon. Owners live on site, but privacy is guaranteed. There is private off road parking at the front of the property in the courtyard.
