Situated in the heart of Dartmoor within a hamlet, this property offers guests the opportunity to be as active or relaxed as they wish, with direct access to the national park for hiking, kayaking and nature trails with up close encounters with the famous ponies which can be seen grazing the moorland. Shopping, sightseeing, bars and restaurants as well as quaint villages and towns are all accessible a short drive from the cottage. Visit Ashburton town with its many local amenities, Widecombe in the Moor or Holne, the perfect stop off point for Two Moors Way. The West Country is famous for its glorious beaches, and this area is no different, with some of the region s finest seaside towns being an easy 20 mile drive from the property, including the elegant resort of Torquay and the sandy beaches of Bigbury on Sea, Thurlstone and Paignton. Enter via a private entrance and into a country kitchen/diner. This wonderful space features exposed beams and stone walls, and is a light and bright space. The kitchen area is well equipped with a two ring induction hob, small oven, fridge, and coffee machine, and is an ideal area to put together a picnic lunch to take out onto the moors for the day. The dining area features a table and chairs, so grab a hot drink from the coffee machine and plan your day's adventures. Also on the ground floor is a compact shower room and WC. Up the steep cottage style oak staircase is the bedroom/lounge area with a beautiful double bed at one end of the room and some comfortable seating with a Smart TV at the other. This is also a wonderful spot to snuggle up after a day of exploring whilst enjoying the views of the garden and moorland beyond, and listening to the sound of the nearby stream. Outside is an enclosed, large garden with a patio area, BBQ, and garden furniture. It s a wonderful spot to dine alfresco by the river. There is private off road parking for one car.
