Helston, Cornwall

2

Located in the picturesque town of Helston, Cornwall, this charming accommodation is a converted railway carriage from the 1800s, recently refurbished to provide a modern yet cozy retreat for two guests. The carriage, which originally arrived in Cadgwith in the early 1920s, has been meticulously restored and now features a beautifully crafted wrought iron bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a stylish shower room. In 2008, it was relocated to its own serene plot beneath a large cedar tree, offering a unique blend of history and contemporary comfort.

The open plan living and sleeping area is designed to maximize space while providing all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests will appreciate the private parking and the proximity to the stunning coastal scenery. Just a short stroll away lies Cadgwith, a traditional fishing cove where local fishermen continue their daily routines, primarily catching lobster and crab. These fresh seafood delicacies can be enjoyed at the local pub and Cellars café, making it an ideal spot for food enthusiasts.

Cadgwith is not only known for its vibrant fishing community but also boasts a small swimming beach, charming crab shops, and gift shops, all contributing to its quaint atmosphere. The area is surrounded by some of the most breathtaking beaches, all within a three-mile radius, providing ample opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, and exploring the stunning coastline. This location is perfect for those looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Cornwall.

In addition to its coastal allure, Helston is situated near notable landmarks such as the Lizard Lighthouse and Heritage Centre, as well as the Marconi Centre. Visitors can also explore the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and The Lizard, which showcases the region's stunning landscapes. For garden enthusiasts, the Bonython Estate Gardens and One2Eleven are excellent spots to visit, making this accommodation a perfect base for exploring the rich cultural and natural heritage of South West England.
